metallurgical coke is used as a fuel and reducing agent in the production of iron, steel, ferro-alloys, elemental phosphorus, calcium carbide and numerous other processes.
aesh content : 12% (+/- 3%)
volatile matter : 2.5% (+/-1%)
carbon : 85% minimum
sulphur : 1%
moisture : 5 to 7%
size : 40-60, 25-50, 12-20, 6-12 & 4-8mm
b) petroleum coke :
petroleum coke is used as a substitute for coal in the manufacture of blast furnace coke, in the production of cement and lime, and to generate electric power.
gross calorific value : 8000- 8200
moisture : 1 - 5%
ash : 2 - 3%
vm : 8 to 10% minimum
carbon : 86% minimum
sulphur : 6.0 7.5%
size : as per required (fines & lump size available.
